So, about 4 years ago, I got 2 male kittens from my mother’s friend, who I named Beethoven and Shakespeare. They were both playful, loving kitties. 7 months ago, Shakespeare ran away from home, days after I got my third cat Prince Brat. After 5 months of being missing, he came home, skinny, dirty, and unhealthy, but alive! :) Prince Brat (who we had not gotten neutered, as we assumed we had three male cats so it wouldn’t be necessary) started mounting Shakespeare. We thought nothing of it. Now, Shakespeare is pregnant! The worst part is, we brought him to the vet and the vet said he was a male and that she neutered him! He is most definitely an unspayed, pregnant female. My question is, how should we deal with the dishonest vet and care for the kittens afterward? My family lives in a huge house with three cats and a dog and we are keeping one of the kittens. Thank you :)
We adopted this cat from a friend who also assumed she was a male.
We felt babies kicking and saw them moving, and we checked the length from the anus to the urinary track, it’s a female for sure.

Cats are notoriously hard to tell…
My Great Uncle was a vet, and always talked about the time he opened a “female” cat up to spay, only to find she was a male!
It’s very hard to tell :)
Go to a different vet, and perhaps ask their opinion on what to do. They’ll definitely be able to help with the kittens!!
Best Wishes :) x
